SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-WIDE PROCUREMENT

NASA SEWP VI

NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) VI Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) in both Category B – Enterprise-Wide IT Service Solutions and Category C – IT Mission-Based Services.

Category B — Enterprise-Wide IT Service Solutions

Category B is designed for broad, strategic IT service solutions that operate across an agency, bureau, enterprise, or major organizational environment. Its emphasis is not simply on providing individual IT professionals; it is on delivering an integrated service model that improves or operates an organization's overall ITC/AV infrastructure.

NASA describes Category B as covering enterprise-wide strategic solutions that improve and enhance agency IT infrastructure through areas such as cloud services, managed services, shared services, enterprise service desks, and other agency-wide IT capabilities.

The scope is intentionally broad and is not restricted to a finite list of technologies. Representative Category B work includes areas such as:

  • Enterprise network services, including LAN/WAN modernization, secure connectivity, software-defined networking, VPN/SASE-type architectures, wireless and commercial network integration, and related enterprise communications capabilities. NASA has specifically indicated that modern network technologies and solutions are expected to fall within this area, with exact requirements defined at the task-order level.

  • IT managed services, covering the management, security, maintenance, and operation of enterprise IT environments.

  • End-user computing and device management, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, enterprise software, and associated lifecycle services.

  • Enterprise service desks and local service desks, including ticketing, user support, incident resolution, service management, and customer experience.

  • Infrastructure operations and services, potentially including data center, compute, storage, network, platform, and related operational environments.

  • Messaging and collaboration services, including enterprise collaboration platforms and supporting infrastructure.

  • Enterprise IT security, cybersecurity operations, security integration, identity and access capabilities, and protection of the enterprise environment.

  • Cloud services, including cloud architecture, adoption, migration, operations, platform services, managed cloud environments, and cloud security.

  • Enterprise transformation and modernization, including transition from legacy environments to modern service-delivery models.

  • Program and project management, continual service improvement, communications, transformation support, and other functions necessary to operate a large-scale IT program.

Category C — IT Mission-Based Services

Category C is focused on ITC/AV professional services delivered in support of a particular mission, program, system, capability, or operational requirement.

NASA characterizes Category C as covering mission-based services including custom programming, telecommunications and network operations, ITC/AV engineering and design, data processing and analytics, hosting, IT and network operations, IT management, consulting, digital-government services, cybersecurity, and security-system services.

Category C can support a very wide range of IT professional and technical services, including:

  • Custom software development and programming

  • Application development, modernization, integration, and sustainment

  • Systems engineering and architecture

  • IT and communications engineering

  • Network engineering and network operations

  • Cybersecurity engineering and security services

  • Data processing and advanced analytics

  • Data engineering and data management

  • Cloud engineering and mission-specific cloud support

  • Hosting and infrastructure support

  • Digital-government services

  • IT consulting and advisory services

  • Technology assessments and modernization planning

  • ITC/AV design and engineering

  • Systems integration

  • Testing, validation, and technical evaluation

  • Mission application support

  • Operational IT support
