STARS III
The STARS III is a 8(a) small business set-aside Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). It provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from 8(a) industry partners like PSS. This next-generation GWAC is built on a framework to buy total IT solutions and will expand capabilities for emerging technologies and OCONUS requirements.
FEATURES
•$50 Billion program ceiling and five-year base period with one 3-year option.
•Allows for directed award task orders under the competitive threshold.
•While some sole source orders are flagged “high risk,” this is not the case with 8(a) orders.
•Contract types include: Fixed-Price, Time-and-materials, Labor Hour, and Incentives.
•Permits other direct costs to include ancillary services and/or equipment that the
Government determines to be integral and necessary to the IT services-based solution.
•Pre-competed, easy-to-use contract with streamlined ordering procedures.
